Greetings ASQ Greater Fort Worth Section 1416
Happy New Year! I do hope your New Year celebration was healthy and happy. Is it time to make those New Year resolutions? As Quality Professionals we all know those resolutions are really Goals and Objectives. Do you make New Year resolutions? Or are you one of those people who hesitate to set goals because “things change”.
Things certainly have changed – a lot – over the past year and a half, mostly due to COVID. Our world, our society, our workplaces and the ASQ organization have all changed. Organizations learned there is the technology allowing work to be done remotely and still be efficient. Our Section was efficient and was recognized by ASQ National by earning the ASQ 2020 Performance Excellence Program Gold Award. This Award was given to just four Sections worldwide. Congratulations to all who participated and made this possible in changing and challenging times.
As our Section Leadership takes the reins for 2022 and commits to their roles and responsibilities, they will continue to face change. They are guided by Section’s Goals and Objectives and the process to accomplish those goals. As the saying goes, “it takes a village”, and it will take all of us, all the members, to flex with change to reach those goals. Which charge speaks to you? What is your passion?
What do you want to give and get from your participation in ASQ?
As we return to in person meetings (more change), come join us for education and fellowship.
I hope to see you there. Be safe. Be healthy.
